Developing Solid Alternate Picking Technique

Not quite sure how to use alternate picking when your playing Lead Guitar? In this latest guitar lesson discover some rhythms that will throw off those untrained in the art of alternate picking.

Its often a question I get when people are looking at developing alternate picking. When dealing with syncopated or slightly odd rhythms how to approach picking.

For very experienced guitarists it would always be the most economic way of picking. But for beginners it is vital that there is some consistency in the picking hand so that you can begin to think about the notes being played and not what the right hand is up to. Developing that consistency is what this lessons is all about.

With 5 rhythms to get your right hand used to and 3 great alternate picking riffs for beginner guitarists after this lesson you should have a solid understanding of what it is your need to do when approaching that next riff or lick.
