Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh adds a pop of PINK this October in honour of the brand’s 13th annual PINKTOBER™ breast cancer awareness campaign! On Thursday, October 25th 2012, Big Country will be playing a live acoustic set here in the café, featuring Vintage® guitars. The event will benefit The Caron Keating Foundation, an organisation that is a family run charity in Caron’s memory to support all types of cancer causes.

Big Country's Bruce and Jamie Watson, along with singer Mike Peters, will be playing Vintage VGA900SB electro-acoustic guitars and a Pilgrim by Vintage VPMA50EAV electro-acoustic mandolin provided by worldwide independent musical instrument distributor John Hornby Skewes & Co Ltd. The guys will then be signing the instruments to be auctioned for charity on the night.

Hard Rock’s commitment to breast cancer awareness and research continues throughout October with PINK menu offerings, 'PINK Sheets Rooms', and limited edition merchandise benefiting a variety of charities including The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®, The Caron Keating Foundation (U.K.) and local breast cancer charities around the globe.

Hard Rock’s PINKTOBER gives fans the opportunity to show their promise to PINK throughout the month. Fans can visit their local Hard Rock and party for PINK, dancing the night away to the sounds of icons and rising stars to benefit local breast cancer organisations. Eat and drink PINK with Hard Rock’s non-alcoholic PINK drinks and dining on PINK menu offerings. Get noticed in stylish shades of PINK with Hard Rock’s PINKTOBER merchandise including the PINKTOBER 2012 t-shirt, bracelet, robe, PINK Sheets, pin and more. Products are sold exclusively at Hard Rock properties worldwide, including Cafes, Hotels, Casinos and on www.hardrock.com.

Proceeds from the sale of PINKTOBER products will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and The Caron Keating Foundation (U.K.) with 75% of the retail price of each pin and 15% of the retail price of other products going directly to the cause.
